Strategy/Business Week-by-Week

January 7 - January 12

The main goal for this week was to finish the business plan and presentation for the upcoming meeting with BAE company on January 17.  This Monday, the goal was to start the PowerPoint. We finished the rough draft of the first section and we would be continuing through to the next part of the presentation.  On Tuesday, this team dealt with the money aspect of the business plan.  The accomplishment for this day was that the money arrived. We are expecting to continue on with the presentation.  For Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday we are hoping to complete the hard part of the business plan.

 January 14 - January 19

Last week the Business team was basically preparing for the business plan report for BAE Systems. The students who were presenting the business plan were Danielle and Jason. These students practiced their business plan.  They did really well, but we are unsure if we got the money yet.  With a lot of hard work and dedication, we are confident in our business plan and are hoping for the best.

January 21 - January 26

The main goal for this week was to update our budget and to see how much money we have left.  This week, we helped research on the arm for our robot.  Jason and Krystina have joined the subdivision of electronics.  Their leader, Timothy, has walked them through the process of the electronic parts of the robot.  We also made sure that the students committed their time to robotics.  Also, we organized the receipts and also requested checks for reimbursement to the people who bought stuff.

 January 27 - February 2

This week the business people worked on the budget of parts that our mentors bought for the robot.  We made sure that our budget is right on track and has money left in the account.  This week we also worked on the attendence to see how many team members in our club came and how many hours each of the team members came for.  Keeping track for the attendance is important because our team would like to see how many members are fully committed to the team, and see who are the main members that come and stay for the making of the robot.

February 3 - February 17 (Two weeks)

This week the business team updated the Maryknoll's budget with the materials that the mentors bought for the robot.  Anther thing that we did this week is that we prepared snacks for the team.  Regina and Jason have been preparing a brochure for the judges at the competition because Maryknoll Robotics would like to apply for the Chairman's award.  They also prepared certificates for the mentors that help out Maryknoll Robotics, to show our appreciation to their time and hard work for the robot.  The Business Team also updated the attendance for the number of students that have been here and their hours.
