What is FIRST?

FIRST stands for “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology”.  It was created to motivate youth to pursue a career in science, technology, engineering, and math.  The man who founded FIRST is Dean Kamen.  He along with many others founded FIRST in 1989.

Robotics Teams from around the Hawaiian islands and California will be participating in the FIRST Hawai'i Regional in the game called "First Overdrive."

Please come to Stan Sheriff Center at the University of Hawaii at Manoa from March 27-29 in 2008 and support your Hawai'i Robotics teams!
